A bilateral investment treaty is an important tool that guarantees stability and certainty to a foreign investor, and is entered into by many countries with the hope of attracting investment. However, the impact of such treaties in achieving this goal has rarely been evaluated, from the view point of investors and key decision-makers in investments. Against this background, this study aims to assess various perspectives on the implications of the Indian BITs on foreign investment flows.
