Utkarsh Pandey is presently working as a Young Professional at the Centre for Trade and Investment Law and he is currently deputed with the International Trade Negotiation Wing – Multilateral (TNM- Rules and Dispute Desk) Division at the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He completed his BBA LL.B (Hons.) from ICFAI University, Dehradun in the year 2017 with a specialization in IPR, following which he pursued LL.M in Constitutional and Administrative Law from the National University of
Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi.
Prior to joining CTIL, he was working as a Research Associate at the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India where he was actively involved in amending and drafting regulations for the Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons, Pre-packaged
Insolvency Resolution Process, framing policy for Cross-Border Insolvency. He has handled complaints and grievances received by the Board, drafted inspection & investigation notices,
assisted Board in disposing of disciplinary proceedings, and drafted replies to the references received from ministries, statutory authorities, and RTI requests. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and is qualified to practice law in India. In his capacity as Independent Legal Counsel, he has advised various real estate companies and represented clients in various Courts & Tribunals.
